1. Eligibility and Permission

By entering this contest, entrant agrees to allow his or her email address to be used by Visual Studio Tutorials.com for the purpose of sending future promotions to the website. Entrant may opt out of this list at any time without affecting his or her eligibility for winning .NET Controls Giveaway. Employees and members of their families or households of Visual Studio Tutorials.com, and all participating prize providers are not eligible for participation. Acceptance of a prize shall constitute and signify the winner's agreement and consent that Visual Studio Tutorials.com may use the winner's name, likeness, and/or prize information for advertising and promotional purposes in any media without further compensation, except where prohibited.

2. Prize
The prize may include, but is not limited to, software, Plug-ins, applications, and ultitlites. For applicable products, winner may choose the platform, and application compatibility.

By claiming the prize, the winner waives the right to claim any cost of winning the prize including, without limitation, any and all costs of verification and redemption, or travel to redeem the prize, and bears in full any liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem the prize. Winner agrees to pay any shipping and/or freight expenses, taxes, surcharges, or penalties assessed or levied by any authorized agency or transport company. The prize is non-transferable and must be accepted as offered, as there will be no substitutions and no cash equivalent. Visual Studio Tutorials.com will make up to three good-faith attempts to deliver the prize. If the third attempt is unsuccessful, winner hereby agrees to forfeit the entire prize and another entry will be randomly drawn from the remaining eligible entries received.

3. Award of Prize
A random drawing will be held at the end of the contest from all eligible entries received and every effort will be made to notify the selected entrant by e-mail and website within 7 days of the drawing. Individual software products may be delivered separately. Some software products may require pre-registration to prevent transference of license rights. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.

4. How To Enter
The current Visual Studio Tutorials.com .NET Control Giveaway begins July 18th 2008 and ends August 15th 2008 ("Entry Period"). Visual Studio Tutorials.com .NET Control Giveaway is sponsored by the sponsor who is providing the software. To enter, visit http://www.visualstudiotutorials.com and sign up to become a member, after becoming a member create a personal page, and participate to Visual Studio Tutorials.com with blog entries, forum posts, tutorials and/or code samples. The member with the most activity during the Entry Period will be annouced as the winner on August 18th, 2008. Duplicate entries will be discarded. Incomplete entries are ineligible. Entry must be through human submission — use of automated entry software or entry through other mechanical or automated computer means is prohibited. All entries are subject to approval and may be removed in which case you will need to post a different tutorial and/or code sample.

Visual Studio Tutorials.com is not responsible for telephone, network, electronic, or computer failures of any kind, or for entries that are incomplete, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, or otherwise illegible. All entries become the property of Visual Studio Tutorials.com and will not be returned to entrant.

5. General Conditions
Errors or omissions Sponsor is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any sweepstakes-related materials, deleted, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries. Sponsor, and it affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and internet access providers are not responsible for incorrect entry of information by entrants, or technical malfunctions of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, entry materials that have been tampered with, human error, or lost/delayed data transmission; or transactions that are processed late, incorrectly or lost due to computer or electronic malfunction. Waiver By entering the sweepstakes, winner and entrants agree to waive any and all claims against the sponsor, its affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives for personal injury or loss, that may occur from participation in the sweepstakes or from the receipt of use of any prize.

Entry validity In the event of a dispute over the identity of an internet entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account at time of entry. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. No copies, facsimiles or reproductions of online entry form will be accepted. Proof of e-mailing does not constitute proof of delivery.
